Flash Mobs

I think flash mobs are a good example of a breaching experiment, and are similar to the “doing nothing” experiment. Flash mobs don’t have to just be freezing, just a large group of people performing synchronized activities in public spaces. For example, Improv Everywhere is a group that sets up flash mobs where seemingly ordinary people break into song and dance in public, which is obviously another kind of breaching experiment. For example, in Grocery Store Musical (below) ordinary produce shoppers break into a song about fruit, and everybody else is simultaneously amused and delighted.
