Objectives of the Project:

  1. Make the community aware of how prevalent the objectification of women is in advertisement
  2. Inform the community about the consequences of this objectification
Impacts:
  1. We feel that our project was successful because it could potentially reach and inform a great number of people. We did not expect for our project to be picked up so quickly, or to get as many views as it has.
  2. Social media is a quick and effective way to inform the community of information we feel is important.
  3. Before this class, we did not see the relevance of social theory to every day life. Now, we see that social theory applies to everything, and that it is much easier than we originally though to raise awareness.
